Our Story
Daybreak Foods has grown at an accelerated rate over the last two decades. Daybreak is now ranked as one of the largest egg producers in the United States. With the guidance of the Rehm Family and the hard work of Daybreak’s dedicated employees, we look forward to the future success and growth of our business.
Family Owned since 1967
Daybreak Foods was founded by Robert Rehm in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. At the time, Robert focused mostly on the sales and installation of poultry equipment. By the mid-1970s, he had started acquiring farmland and raising hens for egg production. Starting in the 1980s, his focus shifted solely to eggs, and we began selling liquid eggs.
The Current Generation
Today, William Rehm, President and CEO, and Tony Rehm, Director of Sales, Marketing and Logistics, have continued the family-owned culture while significantly growing the business. Daybreak operates farms in Central Iowa, Northwest Iowa, Ohio, and Minnesota with Lake Mills, Wisconsin remaining the headquarters.
