Bill Rehm
President & CEO

Bill graduated from St. Norbert College in 1983 with a BA in Accounting. In 1991, after a successful nine year career in public accounting, Bill joined Daybreak Foods, Inc., the company founded by his father in 1965.  Bill started his career with Daybreak as the CFO and was promoted to President in 1998.  In January of 2000, Bill assumed the dual roles of CEO and President. Under Bill’s leadership, the company has grown from 3 Million hens and three processing plants to over 15 Million hens and 10 processing plants across four states.

He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the AICPA and WICAP, a St. Norbert College Board of Trustees member, and past UEP board member. Bill and his wife Jackie, have three grown sons Russell, Clayton and Barrett.  The family enjoys spending time together outdoors.

Scott joined Daybreak Foods in 2016 where he oversees the Accounting, FP&A and Information Technology teams.  Scott brought 25 years of public and corporate accounting experience to his position.   His public accounting experience was primarily in the agriculture and construction industries.  Previously, he was the Sr. V.P of Finance for MUTI, a telecommunication infrastructure development company and the Chief Financial Officer of MACC of ILL. Inc., a heavy highway construction and aggregate company.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a B.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University and an MBA from the University of Illinois.

Mark Pittman

Mark joined Daybreak in 2019 and serves on its leadership team where he oversees Quality, Animal Welfare, Vet Services, Safety, Workers Compensation and Human Resources, and represents Daybreak Foods on the U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Poultry and Eggs. Mark has extensive leadership experience in the food and agricultural industries. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources at American Foods Group, Director of Labor and Employee Relations at Dairy Farmers of America and Vice President of Human Resources for Jay Foods, LLC. His early career included positions with Metz Banking Company and ConAgra.

Mark served in the United States Marine Corp and worked closely with the Navy and Air Force on joint military operations. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Management and Engineering from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Jerry Welch

Jerry joined Daybreak Foods in July 2019 bringing 30 years of financial and operations experience to his role.  Prior to joining Daybreak, Jerry served as the General Manager of Ohio Operations at Versova Egg for three years and was the Vice President and General Manager of Opal Foods / Land O’Lakes / Moark for 16 years.  Jerry graduated with a BSBA from the University of Arkansas and a Masters from the University of Missouri.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and certified in Production and Inventory Management and Integrated Resources Management by the Association of Operations Management.  He is a past board member of the Ohio Poultry Association and the past President of the Missouri Egg Council.

Jerry and his wife Jill make their home in Wisconsin.  They have five children and enjoy spending time with family and anything in or near water.

Ram joined Daybreak Foods in February 2020 bringing with him 27 years of international poultry experience (Philippines, Nigeria, Australia and USA) where he has managed breeders, hatcheries, commercial operations, nutrition and sales. He worked with the Versova Group for five years as Director of Production and Biosecurity and managed the cage-free operation of Central Valley Eggs in California for one year.

Ram and his wife Genie, reside in Ohio with their two boys. In his spare time, Ram enjoys gardening and the Arsenal Football Club.

Caitlin McKenzie

Caitlin McKenzie
Director of Quality Systems and Compliance

Caitlin began her Daybreak career in 2009 as a Senior Quality Assurance Technician assigned to the Creekwood Complex. Since then, Caitlin has held positions of progressive responsibility, including; Food Safety & Quality Manager for Wisconsin and Assistant Director of Quality Systems & Compliance.

Her tenure at Daybreak includes the development of many standards and procedures in the quality program and in  with the successful rollout of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program.  She received her degree in 2001 from the University of Guelph in Canada in Food Science.

Caitlin enjoys the outdoors, playing ice hockey (as all good Canadians do) and being active.

Director – Sales, Marketing and Logistics

Tony joined the family business in 1992 after obtaining his BA in Business Administration from Lakeland College as the Processing Plant Manager in Long Prairie, MN. By 2000, he became the Director of Sales and Marketing and expanded his role to include logistics by 2005.

When they aren’t spending time with their three grown children, Tony and his wife Colleen, enjoy being out on the water, traveling and reading.
