Safe and Sustainable Egg Processing

After the eggs are produced, they are moved from the barns to our processing facilities through a series of conveyor systems. This is where they are inspected, cleaned and prepared for grading or breaking.

Grading Process

Eggs that will be sold in the shell are inspected and graded. Egg grading is the process of sorting into one of three classifications: Grade AA, Grade A and Grade B. These classifications are determined by measuring both the exterior and interior quality of the egg before processing it.
This allows us to ensure our product meets the USDA’s standards for quality and sanitary processing.

Breaking Process

Eggs not sold in the shell are inspected before continuing through to the breaking machine.

Our automated breaker machine cracks the shells. It’s much faster than breaking them on your countertop, we promise!

Some of our clients prefer to purchase just yolks or just whites, so our machines separate the eggs. Our high-speed equipment is able to separate the whites from the yolk allowing us to make a custom blend for customers.

Once separated, the eggs are immediately cooled for storage and delivery.
