President & CEO
Bill graduated from St. Norbert College in 1983 with a BA in Accounting. In 1991, after a successful nine year career in public accounting, Bill joined Daybreak Foods, Inc., the company founded by his father in 1965. Bill started his career with Daybreak as the CFO and was promoted to President in 1998. In January of 2000, Bill assumed the dual roles of CEO and President. Under Bill’s leadership, the company has grown from 3 Million hens and three processing plants to over 15 Million hens and 10 processing plants across four states.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the AICPA and WICAP, a St. Norbert College Board of Trustees member, and past UEP board member. Bill and his wife Jackie, have three grown sons Russell, Clayton and Barrett. The family enjoys spending time together outdoors.

Don brings over 30 years of experience in Finance to his position at Daybreak Foods where he oversees the Accounting, FP&A, and Information Technology teams. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Clasen Quality Chocolate for just under 15 years and held a dual role of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer at Monterey Mills for 12 years before that. Don holds an MBA in Finance from Edgewood College and a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University.
Don has four adult children, Brittany, Miranda, Nicholas, and Zachary, and four beautiful grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys bicycling, hiking, and camping with his wife, Pam.

Mark was born and raised in the egg industry as a third-generation commercial producer, following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps. He brings 20 years’ experience from Sparboe Farms to his role, and he has served on several industry boards over the last 5 years. Mark oversees all Production and Processing Operations of Daybreak Foods.
Mark and his wife, Callie, reside in Minnesota. They have three children, Johnathan, Gracie, and William, and the family enjoys spending time outdoors with their two labrador retrievers.
Caitlin McKenzie

Caitlin McKenzie
Vice President of Technical Services
Caitlin McKenzie is a 21-year veteran in food safety. In her current role as Vice President of Technical Services for Daybreak Foods, she is responsible for food and feed safety, animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and biosecurity programs. Over the last 15 years with the Daybreak, she has managed through the company’s expansion from 8 million to 17-million-layer hens, successfully rolled out the SQF program, and navigated industry changes and animal health risks.
Caitlin received her degree in Food Science from Ontario’s University of Guelph in 2001. She is a member of ASQ, USAHA and both the UEP Biosecurity and Animal Health and Food Safety committees. She actively participates in multiple state poultry associations, the Secure Poultry Supply Risk Assessment committee, and several state Emergency Disease Management committees.

Tony Rehm
Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Logistics
Tony joined the family business in 1992 after obtaining his BA in Business Administration from Lakeland College as the Processing Plant Manager in Long Prairie, MN. By 2000, he became the Director of Sales and Marketing and expanded his role to include logistics by 2005.
When they aren’t spending time with their three grown children, Tony and his wife Colleen, enjoy being out on the water, traveling and reading.
